SSC Stenographer Grade C, D Result 2025 OUT For 1590 Vacancies

The Staff Selection Commission (SSC) has officially declared the results for the Stenographer Grade ‘C’ and ‘D’ Examination 2025 Computer-Based Test (CBT). A total of 31,080 candidates have been provisionally shortlisted to appear for the next and crucial stage that is Skill Test in Stenography. Candidates can download the result PDF, check the category-wise Cut-Off Marks, and get important details about the upcoming Skill Test on this web portal. The Staff Selection Commission (SSC) successfully conducted the Computer-Based Test (CBT) for the Stenographer Grade ‘C’ and ‘D’ posts from August 6 to 8, 2025. The results were declared on November 28, 2025, selecting candidates for the Stenography Skill Test.

A total of 1,590 posts are being filled through this recruitment for both Stenographer Grade ‘C’ and Grade ‘D’.

Age Limit: Stenographer 2025 (as on 01/08/2025)

The age limit requirements for both grades are different, with age relaxation applicable as per Government rules.

SSC Stenographer CBT Cut-Off Marks 2025

The category-wise minimum marks required to qualify for the Skill Test are the Cut-Off Marks. These marks determine the candidates shortlisted for the next stage.

Selection Process & Skill Test Details

Candidates who have cleared the CBT must now prepare rigorously for the Stenography Skill Test, which is mandatory to qualify for final selection.

• Mode of Selection: Computer Based Test (CBT) $\rightarrow$ Skill Test $\rightarrow$ Document Verification.

• Skill Test: This test is qualifying in nature and checks the candidate’s proficiency in Shorthand and Typing.

  • Grade C Required Speed: 100 words per minute (w.p.m.) in Shorthand.

  • Grade D Required Speed: 80 words per minute (w.p.m.) in Shorthand.

The result has been released in PDF format, which contains the Roll Numbers of the shortlisted candidates. You do not need a login ID to check the list!

1. Visit the Official Website: Go to the SSC website: ssc.gov.in.

2. Navigate to Results: Click on the “Result” tab in the main navigation bar.

3. Select Exam: Click on the “Steno ‘C’ & ‘D'” section.

4. Download PDF: Look for the links titled “Stenographer Grade ‘C’ & ‘D’ Examination 2025 – Declaration of Result of Computer Based Examination” and download the PDF Lists (List-I for Grade C, List-II for Grade D).

5. Check Your Roll Number: Open the downloaded PDF and use the search function (Ctrl+F) to find your Roll Number.
